Chuck Floyd-Jones

Chuck Floyd-Jones graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2010. Upon graduation he began working for Kirby Inland and Offshore Marine in multiple shipboard capacities on the Gulf Coast, Western Rivers and East Coast.

He achieved the position of captain then shifted to a shoreside Port Captain role with Kirby. In 2019 Chuck transitioned to Marquette Transportation where he was a Port Captain and Director of Wheelhouse Engagement where he was responsible for mariner training, hiring, promotions and placement to optimize vessel performance.

Chuck then started in November of 2025 as the MUSV Commissioning Manager where he oversees the final stages of vessel construction, hardware integration and sea trials for Marauder out of Saronic’s Franklin and Gulfport Facility.
